Styx River MX & ATV Park
Styx River MX and ATV Park is a 150-acre family-owned off-road and motocross facility in Baldwin County, Alabama, near Robertsdale, approximately 35 miles north of Gulf Shores and 30 miles east of Mobile, in the Gulf Coastal Plain country above the Mobile Bay watershed. The coastal location means the park operates year-round without the winter cold closures that affect more northern facilities, and the sandy Baldwin County soil base drains relatively quickly after rain, extending the operational season into periods when clay-soil parks would be closed. The facility accommodates a wide vehicle class mix (ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, and unregistered dune buggies are all permitted, though registered street vehicles are not), and provides a mix of terrain: 5 miles of narrow wooded ATV trail, deep and shallow mud pits calibrated for different machine sizes and rider preferences, a 20-acre motocross track for competitive or practice use, and an oval track. The scale is modest compared to the large destination parks in north Alabama, which gives Styx River a more local, community-oriented character, the kind of facility that sustains a regular weekend-rider membership rather than drawing from the regional tourism market. Entry is $5/person plus a $30 OHV riding fee; cash and check only. Primitive camping is included with a 2-day riding purchase. Open daily 9am to dark, year-round (251-960-1161).
